The selection process was launched in September 2022 with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative, a leading anti-corruption support program in Ukraine funded by the EU and co-funded and implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. More than 100 small and medium enterprises in Ukraine have applied to participate in the competition, expressing their willingness to prepare and implement a compliance system in their companies.

This competition aims to provide compliance support to Ukrainian SMEs in preparing them to enter the European market, obtaining investments or financial grants from international institutions, and searching for new counterparties in Europe.

Such support will be provided by engaging UNIC member consulting companies to analyze the state of the grantee company's compliance system, prepare recommendations for its improvement, and assist in its implementation using UNIC's available tools. In addition, the support will include advice on advanced training of the company's employees on anti-corruption, fair and transparent business behavior, and recruitment of a compliance officer if a decision is made to introduce such a position.

UNIC congratulates the competition winners and hopes that the assistance under the program will be a qualitative impetus for companies to develop compliance systems and open up new opportunities for attracting foreign investment.
