On 19 March 2019, the UNIC Secretariat participated in the Round Table on Anticorruption and Business Integrity, organized by the OECD in Paris. The participants had a chance to find out more information about different collective action initiatives all over the world during the Round Table.

The Round Table was held before the Global Anticorruption and Integrity Forum – Tech for Trust – organized by the OECD on 20-21 March in Paris. The forum is attended by more than 1800 participants from 120 countries. The issues raised during the forum relate to new technology risks and opportunities when fighting corruption, such as block chain, data analytics, AI.

We are glad to note that Business Ombudsman Council, one of the imitators of UNIC, was presented in the forum. Particularly, Tetiana Korotka, Deputy Business Ombudsman, discussed current activity of BOC, as well as long-term initiatives that are aimed at improving business climate in Ukraine. Tetiana Kheruvimova, Investigator at the BOC, a leading member of the UNIC Expert Group, presented the operation of UNIC at the panel dedicated to the discussion on innovative approaches and leading practices of business organisations and companies aimed at preventing and detecting corruption.

Yuliia Vrublevska, UNIC Project Coordinator, presented an alternative (in relation to Government) Report on implementation of Recommendations Provided by Istanbul Plan of Actions as part of business integrity during the meeting of ACN OECD.

We are glad to know that international experts are interested in the development and results of UNIC in Ukraine, launched with the support of the BOC, EBRD, and OECD.
