Network held its first meeting with the Independent Association of Banks of Ukraine

We are pleased to announce that last week the Network held its first meeting with the Independent Association of Banks of Ukraine. Representatives of both organizations came together for the first time to discuss possible points of contact and build a vector for future cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Natalia Vasylets, Chairman of the Regulatory Policy and Compliance Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Ukrgazbank JSB, Iryna Vakhnytska, Coordinator, and other members of this Committee.

During the discussion, the issue of improving the procedure for assessing the reliability of the client / borrower according to the established methodology was discussed, in particular in terms of determining the level of risk of companies that have implemented a compliant compliance system, as well as simplifying monitoring of politically important banks.

UNIC was represented at the meeting, in addition to Secretariat staff, by Executive Committee members Tetyana Korotka (Business Ombudsman Council - Ukraine), Kateryna Reshetnyak (EBRD) and Olga Savran (OECD), Integrity Committee member Marina Voshchilko (Globus Bank Expert Group). Olga Gonchar (ADVANQ) and Oleksandr Plotnikov (Arzinger) are members of the Expert Council of the NABU Creditors' Protection Committee.

It is important that in addition to the representatives of both organizations, the Deputy Chairman of the EBRD in Ukraine Iryna Kravchenko also joined the meeting, which reiterates the importance for international institutions to establish synergies between organizations such as UNIC and NABU to ensure stability and sustainable development of transparent business in Ukraine (including the banking sector) especially in such a difficult times.
