The activities of the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety are aimed at improving the safe operation of nuclear installations, handling spent nuclear fuel, and radioactive waste.
In addition, the center is working on an urgent actual challenge - delivering unbiased and objective information related to nuclear technologies to the public.
The State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety is the second state company that passed the difficult path of preparatory partnership and became a full member of the Network.
Antonina Prudko, Head of the Network Secretariat, notes that it is especially pleasant for UNIC to work with a state-owned company, which by its example shows the importance of implementing political compliance: "We are glad to realise that a scientific and technical center for nuclear and of radiation safety - has a high level of integrity compliance and has implemented an anti-corruption management system ISO 37001 certification and can share its experience with community members".
"Honesty, compliance, transparency of activity, even in times of war, have always been important to us. After all, this is not something that can be postponed for later. The National Nuclear Research and Development Center works for the safe operation of domestic nuclear power plants and other nuclear installations, including the handling of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste. It is not necessary to remind how important this direction is, especially now, when there is a war in Ukraine," says the director of the National Research and Development Center Ihor Shevchenko.
According to him, for many years in a row, the National Research and Development Center of Ukraine has been systematically working on the implementation of various practices to combat corruption.
