UNIC has taken the lead in developing a model for independent compliance monitors to promote transparency, prevent violations, and ensure adherence to anti-corruption standards. During a working meeting with the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) and independent monitors from the USA and the UK, UNIC expressed its commitment to supporting the further development of this concept for implementation in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance (UNIC) has submitted several amendments to Draft Law No. 11443, aimed at strengthening the liability of legal persons for corruption offenses involving foreign officials. The amendments have been sent to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement for consideration during the revision of the draft for the second reading.

UNIC is inviting tenders from translation agencies (companies or individual entrepreneurs) to provide professional written and oral translation services for the Network’s materials from English to Ukrainian and vice versa. We are looking for a reliable partner who shares our values of transparency and integrity and has translation experience in legal and economic fields, particularly in compliance and anti-corruption topics.

We’re wrapping up our introductions to the new members of the UNIC team! Last on our list, but no less important, is Maryana Lunga, who has joined as the Network’s Administrative Assistant. Maryana brings diverse experience in office organization, document management, and support for corporate events in private companies, including the IT sector and telecommunications.

This year, UNIC became a partner of the StreetLaw Fest competition, "Building Integrity in Business and Government through Legal Education for Youth." The competition aims to enhance students' knowledge and skills in integrity and develop materials for further dissemination among legal clinics, schools, and students. Representatives of the Network also joined the judging panel to mentor participants and assist them in creating original legal education products.
