KEY COMPLIANCE EVENT OF THE 2020 - UNIC BUSINESS INTEGRITY MONTH TOOK PLACE IN UKRAINE

From November 15 to December 15, the Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance (UNIC) hosted the UNIC Business Integrity Month 2020, a unique event that brought together leading compliance and anti-corruption professionals from various countries all over the world.

17 online events, over 60 Ukrainian and international speakers, and more than 5,000 visitors - those numbers demonstrate the growing interest of the Ukrainian business community in compliance and business integrity - one of the key international anti-corruption standards. Today, the Ukrainian private sector has realized that integrity and corporate compliance should be the basis for increasing its high-level reputation, ethics, and corporate culture.  It is also an effective anti-corruption tool to guarantee transparency, security, responsibility, and equal opportunities for employees. 

The following participants joined the UNIC Business Integrity Month 2020:  representatives of international institutions in charge of anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine like IMF, EBRD, OECD, UNGlobal Compact Network Ukraine; representatives of state bodies aimed at combating corruption and economic development, in particular the NACP, the Reform Support Team of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture and the State Tax Service of Ukraine Leadership; SOE’s Compliance specialists from Ukrenergo, Ukrzaliznytsia, Energoatom, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine; representatives of international and Ukrainian businesses, including Kyivstar, Carlsberg Ukraine, Sanofi Aventis, Metro Cash & Carry, Kinstellar, Mirta, KPMG in Ukraine, Arzinger, Dentons Europe, COSA, Comfy, Nova Poshta, and many others. We are pleased to highlight that most of the above-mentioned companies are members and partners of the Ukrainian  Network of Integrity and Compliance (UNIC).

Business Integrity Month 2020 was held with the financial support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative, and with the expert support of the OECD Anti-Corruption Network in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the Business Ombudsman Council, TI Ukraine, UN Global Compact. Anti corruption measures in the private sector; overcoming corporate corruption and  attracting new investments, the safety of companies from dishonest actions of employees and suppliers, effective cases of compliance, reduce business risks, strengthen reputation and competitive position - these are just several topics that were covered during the Business Integrity Month 2020.

'Business Integrity Month has already become a landmark and long-awaited event in Ukraine. It unites the business environment which is dynamic, modern and which actively changes the business image of our country.
