UNIC welcomes the adoption of the bill on amendments regarding responsibility for corruption offenses and prepares proposals for the second reading

The All-Ukrainian Network for Integrity and Compliance (UNIC) welcomes the adoption of Bill No. 11443 by the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading. A total of 268 deputies voted in favor of it. This bill aims to implement Ukraine's commitments to the OECD recommendations on the responsibility for bribing foreign officials in international business transactions.

At the same time, network participants and experts are actively working on formulating proposals to refine the bill before the second reading. "Our goal is to ensure that the document meets all international standards and requirements, which will allow Ukraine to initiate reforms of the criminal liability of legal entities and effectively combat international bribery," noted Antonina Prudko, Head of the UNIC Secretariat.
