UNIC supports career development of veterans in compliance

UNIC actively promotes the topic of compliance and related educational and career opportunities. The Network is also working on the official recognition of the compliance officer position at the state level and its inclusion in the National Occupational Classifier. One of our main objectives is to raise awareness about the prospects of this profession so that more people consider it as a possible career path. In particular, the role of a compliance officer offers an excellent opportunity for veterans who possess skills valuable in this field.
That is why UNIC partnered with the final event of the pilot internship project for veterans, organized by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP). The event concluded NACP’s two-month project during which participants learned about anti-corruption policy, completed internships in NACP departments, engaged in networking with professionals, and received mentoring support. Four veterans will join the NACP team, and the project will serve as the foundation for future employment programs in government institutions.
At the event, UNIC’s COO, Yulia Vrublevska, presented the career prospects in compliance and encouraged veterans to explore this area:
Compliance is a field where analysts, economists, auditors, and risk management specialists can thrive. We strongly hope that this pilot project can be scaled up and become just a starting point for future training and employment programs for veterans in government bodies, business, and the civil society sector.
UNIC is committed to helping veterans find employment opportunities in compliance. If your company has programs for veterans in this field – let us know. We will collect this information and share it with NACP, which already maintains a database of veterans’ CVs from the internship program who are now seeking employment.
