UNIC at the Big Meeting in Paris: First Day Recap
The UNIC delegation is participating in the Business Integrity Group (BIG) Meeting in Paris - an annual meeting organized by OECD.
The event is a key platform for discussing business integrity issues, bringing together representatives from governments, businesses, civil society, and international organizations from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and other regions of the world.
During the first day of the event participants focused on the role of states in promoting and ensuring business integrity, discussing transparency policies, regulatory approaches, and successful practices.
“This year's delegation from Ukraine for the first time includes representatives of all key stakeholders working on the topic of business integrity, in particular, collective action initiatives—UNIC, Business Ombudsman Councils, public organizations, authorities, and businesses. We are pleased to hear from our colleagues at the OECD that Ukraine, despite the war, is a true champion in the dissemination and implementation of business integrity practices. Our experience is unique because even in conditions of uncertainty and an ongoing full-scale war, we are successfully implementing initiatives to strengthen the culture of business integrity. Thus, we are laying the foundation for systemic changes for our country,” shared Antonina Prudko, Head of the UNIC Secretariat.
During the second day of the event, representatives of the UNIC Secretariat will facilitate the session "The Role of Collective Action Initiatives, Business, and Business Associations in Spreading a Culture of Business Integrity".
UNIC thanks the OECD for its trust and partnership. We are proud to be recognized as a leading initiative in the region and grateful to the Pro-Integrity project for enabling a larger Ukrainian delegation to share its experience this year.
