UNIC and CIPE launch joint project to promote compliance among SMEs

Friends, we are sharing great news: UNIC is launching a joint pilot project with the support of the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). The project is aimed at strengthening and promoting a culture of integrity and compliance standards among Ukrainian SMEs planning to join the recovery and reconstruction projects in Ukraine.

In particular, the cooperation will include educational events - online and offline trainings - for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine to improve and develop their compliance systems.

The key topics of the events will include practical advice on implementing compliance systems and policies, risk management and corruption minimization tools, the role of integrity in Ukraine's recovery and increasing the resilience of companies, effective communication with local authorities, and others.

The main goals of the pilot project include:

• increasing transparency of business activities and improving the quality of the business climate in the Ukrainian market
• facilitating access to loans and external financing for SMEs;
• creating new opportunities for SMEs to enter foreign markets;
• increasing the readiness of SMEs to participate in recovery projects;
• expanding new opportunities for business preservation in the context of the war in Ukraine.
