Ukrhydroenergo and the Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance UNIC signed a Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation. This demonstrates the company's commitment to further development by implementing high standards of ethics and responsibility.

The Memorandum was signed by Ukrhydroenergo General Director Igor Syrota, on behalf of UNIC by Antonina Prudko, Head of the Secretariat, and Mykola Babenko, Chairman of the Executive Committee.

During the meeting, the Ukrhydroenergo General Director told the Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance representatives about the Company's activities, focusing on the company's compliance with Ukrainian legislation and Ukrhydroenergo's work with European standards. Igor Syrota also focused on social issues, promising projects of the company, and cooperation with international partners, particularly on lending and implementation of joint projects.

"Standards of integrity and transparent business conduct are a step towards improvement. We have signed a Memorandum of partnership and cooperation with the Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance. The signing of this document confirms that Ukrhydroenergo continues to work openly and adhere to high ethical principles and standards of activity. In cooperation with UNIC, we will promote ethical business principles not only among the partner companies of the Network but throughout Ukraine as a whole, " noticed the Ukrhydroenergo CEO.

Also, during the signing, the Head of the UNIC Secretariat, Antonina Prudko, noted: "We are pleased to welcome Ukrhydroenergo among UNIC partners. UNIC as an ecosystem of developed templates, tools, exercises, and examples of leading companies can significantly help and assist Ukrhydroenergo in building a culture of integrity and compliance in the company. For Ukraine, compliance is a new concept, but it has become an ethical norm and a reputational basis for the global business community. After all, without work compliance in the company, it is impossible to get favorable loans or work with the best contractors in the world. Therefore, to implement integrity business today is not only to take care of the reliability and reputation of the company but also to be part of the country’s success as a whole. "

It should be noted that the signing of the Memorandum provides a plan of measures necessary to prepare Ukrhydroenergo for membership in the Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance. From December 2021, courses and training on the rules of corporate ethics and integrity behavior will start.

The company has implemented and is currently successfully implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy, the Code of Ethics, and the Anti-Corruption Program. The company is presently developing and approving a Compliance Policy and interaction with stakeholders.

Ukrhydroenergo also plans to conduct training on compliance implementation, develop and implement an action plan to promote compliance behavior among the Company's employees, identify, analyze, assess compliance risks and improve compliance and risk management procedures.
