Implementation of professional ethics in private business or public enterprises is a crucial position of UNIC.
As Larysa Zhygun, UNIC Government Relations Manager, noted in her commentary for the Practice of International Financial Reporting Standards magazine, amendments to the Accounting Law obliging chief accountants to comply with the requirements of the Code of Ethics of the International Federation of Accountants is "an important step from reorientation oversight control to self-regulation and self-responsibility." This means that the implementation of the Code is strong evidence of Ukraine's readiness to act according to generally accepted rules with the world.
