Dear colleagues, we invite you to participate in the panel discussion “M&A Radar 2023: Resilience and Investment Prospects in Ukraine,” organized by KPMG Ukraine, a member firm of the Network.

Date: March 5, 2024

Event duration: 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Kyiv time

Format: Online, Microsoft Teams

Language: Ukrainian

Experts from KPMG’s Corporate Transactions practice in Ukraine have conducted a comprehensive analysis of the M&A market and prepared an overview of the Ukrainian mergers and acquisitions market for 2023: M&A Radar 2023: Ukraine.

Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 caused significant economic damage to Ukraine. The M&A market was no exception: the total value of deals in 2022 fell by nearly four times compared to the previous year, reaching its lowest level since 2013, and the number of deals decreased by more than 2.5 times. However, positive trends were observed in 2023. Real GDP grew by about 5%, and both the number and value of M&A deals increased significantly compared to the previous year.

Join the panel discussion “M&A Radar 2023: Resilience and Investment Prospects in Ukraine,” dedicated to discussing current aspects of investment deals in today’s reality, where we will join leading business experts and representatives of international organizations to discuss the current state of affairs and forecasts for the future of M&A in Ukraine.

The event will address the following topics:

  • Assessment of the current investment climate in Ukraine

  • What obstacles hinder foreign investment

  • Which sectors are most attractive for investment

  • What investment strategies companies are choosing

Speakers:

  • Svitlana Shcherbatyuk, Head of Corporate Transactions, Investments, and Capital Markets, KPMG in Ukraine

  • Denis Kudin, Executive Vice President for Strategy and Development, PJSC “Ukrnafta”

  • Volodymyr Lavrenchuk, Regional Director, NEQSOL HOLDING

  • Lesya Kuzmenko, Deputy Head of the EBRD in Ukraine

  • Anna Shuvalova, Principal at Horizon Capital

Participation in the event is free of charge upon prior registration!
