On 29 July 2019, UNIC signed the Memorandum of partnership with the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety. The Memorandum was signed by the Director of SSTCNRS and Ivan Sakal, Financial Director at Organic Systems, Head of the UNIC Executive Committee, and Gaiane Karakashian, Head of the UNIC Secretariat.

On 29 July 2019, UNIC has signed the Memorandum on partnership with NNEGC "Energoatom". The official signing event took plae at the offices of Energoatom in Kyiv with the participation of President of Energoatom Yuriy Nedashkovsky, as well as Ivan Sakal, Financial Director at Organic Systems and a member of the Executive Commitee and Gaiane Karakashian, Head of the Secretariat, on the UNIC side.

Three UNIC experts, member companies, give their opinion on the key role of business in implementing compliance standards that as a result lead to tackling corruption at the State level.

In July 2019, UNIC had an opportunity to be involved in the discussion on compliance in the framework of the Conference on Corruption Issues and Anti-Corruption Policies, organised by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Kyiv School of Economics.

On 4-5 July 2019, Conference on Corruption and Anti-Corruption Policies organised by the Kyiv School of Economics and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will be held. UNIC together with the colleagues of the Business Ombudsman Council, an initiator of the network, is delighted to be among the speakers and participants of the event.

UNIC Secretariat has talked to Dr. Rainer Markfort, a Dentons Berlin Corporate Partner and co-head of the European Compliance Group, on what it takes to build a compliant organization today and the UNIC’s possible role in facilitating the collective action of its member-companies to further the adaptation of international integrity principles and practices in Ukraine.
