One of the key incentives for forming an integrity culture of doing business is the introduction of a system of tax compliance, which is the basis of tax security. Digest articles reveal the features of tax reform, its current issues, challenges, and tax Due Diligence with the help of open data.
- Tetyana Korotka, Deputy Business Ombudsman, presented a broad overview of the problem points for Ukrainian business that the BOC most often deals with in the tax sphere and the role and place of compliance in tax reform.
- Kyrylo Slastunov, the BOC inspector, raises the issue of distrust in tax relations in Ukraine, namely the "riskiness" of the VAT payer most often deals with in the tax sphere and the role and place of compliance in tax reform.
- Danylo Globa, Deputy Director for Legal Affairs at YouControl, reveals tax Due Diligence in Ukraine's realities and provides valuable practical advice on analyzing counterparty tax risks using open sources and a risk-based approach.
The Digest concludes with the Recommendations to Taxpayers on the Implementation of Internal Counterparty Audit Policies to comply with the requirements of “Reasonableness,” “Fairness,” and “Due Diligence” of Business Transactions, developed by the UNIC Expert Group on Taxation.
